Nephrotoxic: albuminuria, cylindruria, azotemia
Nausea, vomiting
Skin rashes
Pain at injection site
Dosage:
Administered by IM injection
Infants (<2.5kg):
900 units/kg/24 hours in 2-3 divided doses
Infants (>2.5kg):
1000 units/kg/24 hours in 2-3 divided doses
